As Fristad Konsult AB began moving KomMa, an operational system used by municipalities, to the web, deeper user understanding became essential. As the sole UX Researcher, I led the full research process and translated user insights into strategic recommendations to guide the transformation.

Challenge
Fristad Konsult was going through a major transformation and needed a deeper understanding of users’ workflows, needs and challenges. The goal was to provide the organization with reliable user insights that could support strategic decisions and help identify the most suitable direction for KomMa.
Approach
I worked independently throughout the project while collaborating closely with the CEO and other stakeholders. I planned and conducted interviews, surveys, observations and usability tests, analysed the collected data and translated the findings into practical guidance and recommendations.
Outcome
The research provided Fristad Konsult with a clearer understanding of its users and strategic recommendations to support the transformation of KomMa and guide decisions about the most suitable solutions.
